Wrestler of Azerbaijan national team accused of murder put on wanted list in Russia

The wrestler of Azerbaijan’s national team Nurmahammad Hajiyev is accused of murder, this has been disclosed on the official Instagram page of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia’s Republic of Dagestan, ONA reports citing the Russia press.

Our representative at the age of 24 competing in freestyle wrestling is accused of murder of Abdulbashir Omarov, a relative of Mahammadrasul Omarov, the former head of “Dagavtodor” and “Kaspi” Roads Department.

The report says Hajiyev is one of the three persons put on the wanted list: “As a result of the taken measures, it has been determined that the committing of this crime is associated with Surakat Asiyatilov born in 1995, Huseyn Asiyatilov born in 1994, and Nurmahammad Hajiyev born in 1996. The official decision about search of the above-named persons was signed on June 26. Before that date, only the preliminary information was available”.

Note that Nurmahammad Hajiyev competing in the weight category of 97 kg is the silver medal winner of the European championships held in 2018 and 2019, and Minsk-2019 II European Games. He has been winner of various tournaments among youths and teenagers.
