Georgia fines Turkish vessel

A vessel floating under the Turkish flag has been fined for polluting the territorial waters near the Poti port of Georgia, ONA’s Georgian Bureau reports citing the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture.

According to the information, it’s been found out that the vessel tainted the territorial waters of Georgia and has been fined in the amount of 70,306 lari by the Poti City Court's decision.

It’s been said that the permission to the vessel to leave the territorial waters of Georgia will be given once the fine is paid.
