At least two people were killed and four others were seriously injured on Thursday as a result of a hydrogen tank explosion in the South Korean eastern city of Gangneung, Yonhap reported citing firefighting authorities, ONA reports citing Sputnik.
According to the Yonhap News Agency, firefighters have started a rescue operation in an attempt to find people who could have been trapped under the debris.
A spokeswoman at Gangwon Fire Headquarters told the media outlet that the storage tank was used by a venture firm at the Gangwon Technopark in Gangneung that is 150 miles east of Seoul.
