Azerbaijani journalist detained in Russia, Fuad Abbasov, was deported to his homeland, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to lawyer of the journalist Teyub Sherifov today Fuad Abbasov, under the control of the staff of the Azerbaijani embassy in Russia, flew from Vnukovo airport on the Moscow-Baku flight of AZAL.
His plane has already landed at the Heydar Aliyev airport.
On May 16, Khimki police detained Fuad Abbasov for violating immigration laws. Abbasov was placed in a temporary detention center for foreign citizens in the city of Korolev, Moscow Region. On May 17, the court made a decision on his deportation from the Russian Federation.
