Norwegian Air shuttle to demand Boeing pay for Grounding of 737 Max Aircraft

"We're going to send the entire bill to Boeing", Lasse Sandaker-Nielsen a spokesman for Norwegian Air Shuttle stated on Wednesday, ONA reports citing Sputnik.

The statement comes just two days after a Boeing 737 MAX 8 with 157 people on board, operated by Ethiopian Airlines, crashed, causing almost immediate bans of the model by airlines across the world. About two-thirds of the 371 MAX 8 jets operating across the world have been suspended, Reuters reported.

Earlier this week, a Norwegian Airlines Boeing 737 Max en route to Tel Aviv changed its course and had to return to Stockholm, as the airline decided to ground all its Boeing 737 MAX aircraft citing European safety advice issued after a crash in Ethiopia.
