Erdogan: “Dialogue between Russia and Turkey based on historical roots”

“Dialogue between Russia and Turkey is based on the historical roots”, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the opening ceremony of MAKS 2019 International Aviation and Space Salon, ONA reports citing Daily Huriyyet.

Turkey takes ‘important steps’ in the aviation sphere and will deepen cooperation with Russia, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Aug. 27 during the opening ceremony of MAKS 2019 International Aviation and Space Salon. Erdogan said ties with Russia will further deepen thanks to cooperation in aviation and space technology. He also reiterated that Ankara wants to increase its bilateral trade volume with Russia to $100 billion. “We expect more than 6 million Russian tourists to come to our country”, Erdogan said.

"I'm sure that all our partners, including, of course, our Turkish friends, Turkish delegation, will be interested in the achievements of aviation and space industry, the last generation products and this will open the new possibilities for the cooperation of the two countries," he added.
