Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that Tehran will shoot down foreign drones violating the border, ONA reports citing RIA.
“At the time the drone was hit, the answer (Iran. - RT ) was professional and accurate. If such a violation of the borders of our country will be repeated, we will again give the same answer in appropriate conditions,” Rouhani said.
Rouhani also said that Tehran will not allow to cause a mess in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
On June 20, it was reported that Iranian servicemen shot down a US drone. Tehran said that the American UAV violated the airspace of the country, while in Washington denied this statement, stressing that the device at the time of the state of emergency flew "over international waters."
