Seven workers die as landslide hit marble mine in Pakistan's Buner

Seven workers died while 30 others were buried when the landslide hit a marble mine in Bampukha area, Buner on Saturday, ONA reports citing Pakistani media.

The bodies of seven workers have been recovered. Five injured have been shifted to DHQ Hospital.

Rescue activities are continuing to recover the workers buried under the debris.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has directed Special Assistant to the CM Riaz Khan to reach the site.

He ordered the rescue teams to expedite efforts to rescue the missing workers.

The CM said that they are standing by the affected families during the time of trial. He also ordered the rescue team to utilize all resources.
