Some airlines suspend flights over Iran and Iraq

France's airline Air France has suspended flights over Iraq and Iran airspace, the press service of "Air France" airline stated, ONA reports citing "France-Presse" news agency.

Singapore Airlines, Taiwan's EVA Air and China Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Vietnam Airlines also said they had suspended flights over Iran airspace.

Australian carrier Qantas said it would avoid Iran and Iraq airspace when performing its flights to Middle Eastern destinations.

Kazakhstan’s largest airline "Air Astana" has stated it will change the air route to Dubai and will not use Iran and Iraq airspace.

The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency advised Russian airlines not to use airspace over Iran and Iraq.

From today, the Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) being the owner of the passenger aircraft which crashed today in the morning hours near Tehran, has decided to suspend its flights to Tehran for an indefinite time.

Note that the airlines reasoned their decision by the tensing situation in the Middle East.
