Turkey’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu has extended condolences to relatives of the people who have died from coronavirus and to Chinese people, ONA reports citing Anadolu.
The minister said Turkey is one of the countries having sent medical supplies to Wuhan City where the coronavirus was recorded.
“We will mutually cooperate and the relevant steps will be taken in order to ensure return to their motherland under safe conditions of the Chinese citizens being on a visit to Turkey. At the same time, if necessary, additional medical supplies will be sent to China again. I express my gratitude to the Chinese officials for the cooperation and support demonstrated by them in bringing to our country of the citizens of Turkey, brotherly Azerbaijan, neighbor Georgia and Bulgaria”, the Head of Turkish MFA stressed.
Note that a military cargo plane arrived in Ankara carrying Turkish citizens who were evacuated from Wuhan, the Chinese city at the center of a deadly coronavirus outbreak. The Turkish Armed Forces' A400M-type aircraft departed from Wuhan on Saturday airlifting 42 people, including 32 Turks and 6 people from Azerbaijan, 4 from Albania and Georgia.
