“We witness politicians around the globe inclining to populism. It should educate the media community,” Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlud Chavusoglu said at the international media conference entitled "Development trends of global media: risks and opportunities" in Baku, ONA reports.
Cavusoglu said it's five days that Turkey started the fight against the YPG / PKK terrorist organization in northern Syria, which threatened Turkey: “The Kurds and the PKK terrorist organization are identifyied as the same. This is an insult to the Kurds. The Kurds also want peace. The Kurds should not be identified as the same with PKK. We see different positions in Europe and others. The aim is to create a terrorist organization in northern Syria, to prevent Iran and create instability in Turkey. We know that some of them want to build a terrorist state and they are worried that we have ruined a "great" game. If we do not fight it today, tomorrow will be difficult, and maybe impossible. The fight against this terrorism is vital today. No one should try to teach us. The whole world sees the sensitivity of our soldiers. If we were not sensitive, we would not have saved 4 million refugees in our country. No one can accuse us of changing the demographic situation in the region. The YPG / PKK has mostly oppressed the Kurds there. In the end, Syria's territorial integrity will be protected. We will continue operations until the terrorists are cleaned up."
